RPI's New Inline Test System with Thermal Chamber -
Door Secton

 
   
A Inline double door section is designed to provide an air lock to allow the pallet to enter or leave the chamber without ever having the inside of the chamber opened to the outside environment. This design prevents heat loss when entering the hot chamber, or prevents heat from entering the cold chamber during pallet entry. The design also reduces the amount of moisture that can enter the cold chamber.

The door sections are 4 feet long, and use our 'sticky' top conveyor belts. This provides maximum grip to pull the pallet's feedthru board through the triple brush sealing system and power buss bars. The door sections are constructed with 4 inch thick insulated walls, and removable plexi-glass shields. The doors are made of stainless steel, and slide vertically.

A SMEMA signal from the previous section signals the Door Section to open the first door and convey the incoming pallet to a photoeye just prior to the second door. The conveyor stops, the first door closes, the second door opens, the conveyor runs to move the pallet to the exit photoeye, and the second door closes. Photoeyes on both sides of each door prevent the door closing should a pallet be present. A SMEMA signal from the next section signals the Door Section to run the conveyor to transfer the pallet to the following section.
