RPI's New Inline Test System with Thermal Chamber -
Inline Pallet

The Inlne pallets consist of a plastic pallet portion that rides on conveyor belts outside of the chamber. The pallets have a main pc board on top cotaining the circuitry & electronics required to run the products, and the 260 test points engaged by the test head to test the products. This arrangement keeps the test electronics outside of the chamber so they are not thermally stressed with every product test cycle.

The upper main board is connected to a product carring board, which is called the feedthru board. This board contains the fixturing to electrically mate with the products. The term 'feedthru' refers to the method of passing electrical connections between the main board and products on the inside of the chamber.

To provide continuous power to the pallet as it goes through the system, electrical brushes are mounted on the bottom of the pallet. These brushes make contact with copper buss bars running the length of the chambers, and additional points throughout the system.
