 RPI's New Inline Test System with Thermal Chamber -
Side by Side Operator Interface

An
Allen-Bradley Panel View touchscreen is used for operator interface. The
overall system and individual sections are controlled via the touchscreen.
Parameters such as temperature, conveyor speed, process times, and additional
data is accessible via the interface.
The touchscreen provides
operational interface with every PLC in the Inline System via a DH-485 network.
Typical screens include a system screen for overall system operation and
monitoring, alarm and diagnostics screen for responding to an alarm condition
in any section of the Inline System, a sections screen to allow for individual
section operation and monitoring, a maintenance screen for manual operation of
various motor drives and air solenoids to allow for setup and troubleshooting,
and other screens applicable to various Inline System configurations.
Additional screens might include a setpoints screen for setting
temperature and soak time parameters in each of the temperature chamber
sections, refrigeration screens to interface with the refrigeration package for
control and monitoring, or any additional screens as required. Specific screens
can be made password accessible only to prevent, for example, unauthorized
changing of process parameters or manual operation by other than maintenance
personnel.
